Cars with 3 or more ISOFIX points

If you have a large family and you need to travel with more than two young children you will likely need a car with 3 or more ISOFIX points

Your options can be split in to two, depending on whether you need three ISOFIX positions or more than that.

Cars with three ISOFIX Points

In years gone by cars with three ISOFIX points were thin on the ground. Thankfully one of the benefits of cars getting bigger is that there is more space to fit things. As a result three ISOFIX points isn't that unusual anymore and there are a good number of cars to choose from. Here's the list of those we know :

Cars with four or more ISOFIX Points

Cars with four or more ISOFIX points are less common and, typically, will be 7 seaters, meaning two rows of seats behind the driver. There is also then the consideration of how you get to the rearmost row of seats. Some manufacturers will provide access by tipping forward the middle row of seats, which you can't do if there is already an ISOFIX car seat in that position. This photo below shows an Audi Q7 and as you can see one of the middle row seats needs to folded down to allow access to the rearmost row.

Audi Q7 rear seat setup

BMW's X7 deploys an alternative approach which is that the middle row of seats slides forward to allow access to the rear. Therefore you can keep middle row car seats in their positions and still use the rear seats effectively. Here's the list of all the cars we know with four or more ISOFIX points:
